[New coronavirus and global nutrition issues: efforts to save lives]
On September 4, 2020 , a Zoom webinar titled "COVID-19 and the Global Nutrition Problem: Efforts to Save Lives" was held. Based on the experience of nutrition activities carried out in Myanmar during COVID-19, NAM explained the current situation of acute malnutrition and the importance and challenges of nutritional support during COVID-19. In particular, they emphasized the danger of misunderstanding and rumor about breastfeeding due to fear and anxiety of infectious diseases.

[Exhibited at Global FestaJAPAN ]
Global Festa JAPAN 2015 was held at the Center Promenade in Odaiba over two days, October 3rd and 4th, 2015, and NAM also exhibited for the first time. This time, we held a quiz titled "Thinking about Global Nutrition Issues" with the participation of volunteers. Problems in developing countries are often thought to be difficult to understand because they occur in faraway countries, but by conveying the issue in as easy-to-understand words and methods as possible , we hope to have given participants an opportunity to think about malnutrition as a familiar problem. In addition, among the more than 100 visitors who visited NAM's booth, there were many who work in international cooperation or who want to work in international nutrition in the future, and we were able to have time to talk to such people about career development and specialized topics related to nutrition.
We exhibited again on October 1st and 2nd, 2016, and had more visitors than last year. In addition to the quiz format from last year, this time we also introduced nutritional status measurement tools and distributed the "World Nutrition Report."
We will continue to hold seminars at local international cooperation events and conduct other awareness-raising activities in various other forms .
