2022年2月14日に、ワークショップ【国際栄養プロジェクトの現状と課題】第9回「乳幼児補完食の行動変容～北部ナイジェリアのケーススタディから」、が開催され、約200名が参加しました。低所得国の栄養不良の原因のなかで最も重要である、不適切な乳幼児補完食（Complementary Feeding）は、その改善が困難な課題の一つです。従来中心的に行われてきたアプローチである、「栄養教育」や「栄養指導」の限界が指摘されてるなか、乳幼児補完食の現状とエビデンスに基づく行動変容アプローチを紹介したうえで、NAMが2021年に行った北部ナイジェリア調査を紹介しつつ、社会・食料環境なども含む効果的な乳幼児補完食の行動変容アプローチを考察しました。
