The 6th serial workshop, "Current Status and Issues of International Nutrition," was held at the Okayama City Yuai Center on April 21, 2017. The past five workshops had all been held in Tokyo, but this was the first time the workshop was held outside of Tokyo, and participants included NGOs and graduate students from the Kansai and Chugoku regions.

Participants : Approximately 6 people from NGOs, universities, etc.

Participation fee : Free

Objective of the training : Through the introduction of case studies of participatory nutrition improvement projects in communities, participants will learn the following:

1) Understand the scale of the nutrition problem, the importance of improving it, and the current trends in international support measures.

2) To provide an overview of the basic concepts of malnutrition, its causes, and methods for analyzing the current situation.

3) To introduce effective nutritional improvement interventions and measures with field examples.
